Coralville, IA- A Burlington man convicted of raping a woman in 2019 has died in prison.
The Hawk Eye reports that 41-year-old Steven Mauck was pronounced dead at 12:35 a.m. on Friday at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville. The Iowa Department of Corrections says that Mauck had been placed in hospice there due to chronic illness.
Mauck had been serving a 25-year sentence for second-degree sexual abuse, which began on January 22nd, 2020.
