Gladstone, Ill.- One person was killed and another was injured in a UTV crash in rural Gladstone.
According to a news release, at about 11:11 AM Tuesday, August 8th, the Hancock/Henderson 911 center received a report of a UTV accident in rural Gladstone with severe injuries.
Henderson County Deputies arrived on the scene and discovered a 2023 Polaris UTV had rolled from the roadway into a cornfield. The driver of the UTV had been ejected from the vehicle. The passenger was wearing a seatbelt and was able to free themselves after the crash.
Authorities began providing lifesaving treatment to the driver until paramedics from the Burlington Fire Department arrived.
The driver was later pronounced dead at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center. The passenger was taken to the hospital by Biggsville ambulance service for treatment of their injuries.
The names of the driver and passenger are being withheld pending notification of family.
