Car stolen in Southeast Iowa recovered in Missouri

Clark County, Mo.-  Authorities in northeastern Missouri recovered a stolen vehicle from Southeast Iowa and arrested a man who admitted to stealing it.

TV Station KTVO reports that the incident happened Friday, August 11th, in Clark County Missouri.

Deputies were told that a car that was stolen from Van Buren County, Iowa was on County Road 89.  Investigators arrived and found 21-year-old Ethan Walte of Keokuk in the stolen car, which had broken down on a gravel road.

Walte ran from the scene on County Road 90 before being picked up by another vehicle and continuing west. A second deputy in the area located Walte and arrested him.

Walte admitted to stealing the car, and was charged with one count of receiving stolen property.
