
Galesburg, Ill.- The Galesburg Police Department says that a proactive patrol has resulted in multiple arrests, citations, and seizures.
According to a news release, the Galesburg Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police Special Operations Group, FBI Western Illinois TOC-West Task Force, and FBI Quad Cities Safe Streets Task Force recently implemented a proactive patrol aimed at improving community safety.
The increased proactive enforcement was a collaborative effort, conducted from August 22nd through August 23rd, which utilized increased patrols aimed at reducing criminal activity in the area.
The proactive enforcement campaign resulted in multiple citations and arrests, as well as the seizure of large amounts of narcotics, firearms, ammunition, and US currency.
