Macomb woman arrested for failing to register as a sex offender

Macomb, Ill.-  The Macomb Police Department has announced the arrest of a woman for failing to register as a sex offender.

According to a news release, at 3:52 PM Tuesday, September 12th, Macomb Police were notified of a possible adult female sex offender living in Macomb who was non-compliant with her sex offender registration.

As a Macomb police officer investigated this report, it was determined the non-compliant sex offender was Krystal Hart, who had an alias of Krystal Martin.

A state check was conducted, and it was determined that Krystal Martin was non-compliant with her sex offender registration out of Naperville, Ill.  It was later determined that Martin had changed her name to Krystal Hart.

Naperville PD was contacted and Hart has been non-compliant with her sex offender registration since August of 2021.

During the Macomb Police Officer’s investigation, it was determined that Hart had been living in Macomb since October of 2022, and had not registered as a sex offender as she was required to do so.

Hart was taken into custody and charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
