
Davenport, IA- A Davenport man was sentenced Friday, September 22nd, to 10 years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, related to his involvement in a January 2022 shooting in Davenport.
According to court documents, 32-year-old Leonard Fisher fired six shots in the area of 13th and Washington Streets in Davenport, during the early morning hours of January 29th, 2022.
Evidence presented at trial showed that Fisher fired six shots from a stolen firearm after an altercation at the Thunderguard Club. At the time of the shooting, Fisher was on a furlough from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, from a prior prison sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm, related to a prior shots fired incident.
A federal jury convicted Fisher in January of 2023.
Another shooter in the incident, 39-year-old Timothy Angel of Clinton, was sentenced to 8 years in federal prison in January of 2023.
