Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Treasurer’s Office is reminding residents that their first-half property tax payments are due by Monday, October 2nd.
Payments can be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office until 4:30 PM, or paid online at iowatreasurers.org until 11:59 PM October 2nd.
Payments may also be deposited in the Des Moines County Dropbox, located outside of the courthouse on the south side between the courthouse and the parking lot. Dropbox payments must be made by 4:30 PM Monday.
Payments being made by mail must be postmarked on or before October 2nd.
Interest of 1.5% per month will be added to this payment beginning on October 3rd.
