
Davenport, IA- Police in Davenport have announced the arrest of a 16-year-old juvenile after they made threats to two schools on social media.
According to a news release, at about 1:20 PM Tuesday, November 28th, Davenport Police School resource officers received information regarding possible threats of violence to students and staff at Davenport Central High School and McKinley Elementary School.
Through an investigation, it was determined that there was no immediate threat to students or staff.
Davenport Police say that, due to the seriousness of the threat made on social media, a 16-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with Threats of Terrorism and was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Police say the school day continued and students were dismissed at normal times.
