Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department has identified a woman who died of a gunshot wound on Tuesday, December 5th.
According to a news release, just before 10 PM Tuesday, Burlington Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Elm Street for an unresponsive female.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased female who appeared to have suffered a single gunshot wound.
On Thursday, December 7th, an autopsy was completed and the victim was identified as 35-year-old Krystal Hope Lopez of Burlington.
No further information was released.
