Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the results of sex offender registry compliance checks in the area.
According to a news release, during the month of December, the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office began to conduct compliance checks on the 157 registered sex offenders in Des Moines County.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa Department of Public Safety and the US Marshalls Service.
As a result of the compliance checks, 10 individuals were either charged or arrest warrants were issued for sex offender registry violations.
Those individuals included:
- Clifford Andrew, sex offender registration violation 2nd or subsequent offense.
- Daniel Collins, sex offender registration violation 2nd or subsequent offense.
- Michael Black, sex offender registration violation 1st offense.
- Michael Bindel, sex offender registration violation 2nd or subsequent offense.
- Timothy Chavez, sex offender registration violation 1st offense.
- Alexander Chasteen, sex offender registration violation 1st offense.
- Cody Henderson, sex offender registration violation 1st offense.
- Timothy Talbott, sex offender registration violation 1st offense.
- Anthony Stivers, sex offender registration violation 1st offense.
- Janet Saulsberry, sex offender registration violation 1st offense.
