Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Wednesday, January 24th.
According to a news release, at about 5:27 PM Wednesday, Burlington Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South 10th Street for a report of shots fired.
Officers located an adult male who received a single gunshot wound inside his residence. The man was transported to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
The Burlington Police Department says this appears to be an isolated incident. The facts and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
