Washington, Iowa man charged with us of an electronic device while driving, reckless driving

Mount Pleasant, IA-  The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Washington, Iowa man on multiple charges, including the use of an electronic device while driving.

According to a news release, at about 10:54 PM Saturday, February 3rd, Henry County Dispatch received a driving complaint of a dark-colored passenger vehicle swerving all over the road on Highway 218, headed toward Mount Pleasant.

At 10:59 PM, Henry County Deputies performed a traffic stop and identified the driver as 22-year-old Nelson Flores of Washington, Iowa.

Flores was arrested and charged with the Use of an Electronic Communications Device, Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, Open Container, and Reckless Driving.

An Operating While Intoxicated investigation is still pending.
