Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a man for a sex offender registry violation.
According to a news release, in February 2024, the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office followed up on a possible sex offender registration violation.
An investigation showed that Larry Burkholder was in violation of his sex offender registry. Burkholder was on the registry for original charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and indecent solicitation of a child.
On Thursday, February 8th, Burkholder was located and arrested by the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office and charged with sex offender registry violation 1st offense.
