Poweshiek County, IA- The Iowa State Patrol says one person was killed in a single-vehicle accident Friday in Poweshiek County.
According to the ISP, at about 6:40 AM Friday, February 16th, a pickup truck driven by 30-year-old Jamal Gant of Oskaloosa was going northbound on Highway 146.
Gant lost control of the vehicle on the icy roadway, and the vehicle rolled over into a ditch and came to rest on its roof.
A passenger in the vehicle, 31-year-old Cody Roberts of New Sharon was killed in the crash while Gant was taken to Oskaloosa Hospital.
According to the ISP, Roberts was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but Gant was not.
