Burlington, IA- Officials have determined that the death of a Burlington teen who was hit by a train in Henderson County was accidental.

The Hawk Eye reports that Henderson County Coroner Kris Beals announced Thursday that 17-year-old Louis Trumbull died from multiple blunt force injuries after being struck by an Amtrak train on February 19th.

Officials say that Trumbull did not see or hear the train coming because he was wearing noise-canceling music headphones as he was walking along the north edge of the track.

The death has been ruled as accidental.
