Galesburg, Ill.- The Galesburg Police Department has announced the arrest of a man for attempted murder following a shooting incident.
According to a news release at about 3 PM Thursday, March 21st, Galesburg Police responded to a report of a shooting. The victim was driving in a vehicle and was moving at the time of the incident.
Officers were able to locate the victim who had a grazing gunshot wound to the left shoulder. The victim was treated at the scene.
The investigation led to a vehicle and possible suspect being identified.
On Friday, March 22nd, an arrest warrant was obtained for 21-year-old Tomas Rubio, who subsequently turned himself in to the Galesburg Police Department the same afternoon, and was charged with attempted murder.
