Two Burlington men arrested for theft

Burlington, IA-  The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrests of two Burlington men for 1st Degree Theft.

According to a news release, on Wednesday, March 20th, Des Moines County Deputies took a report of a burglary at a residence on Irish Ridge Road.  A Polaris Ranger UTV and numerous tools were stolen from the residence.

On Saturday, March 23rd, Des Moines County Deputies received information that the stolen UTV and tools were located at 400 May Avenue in Burlington.

Deputies executed a search warrant at that location and located the stolen UTV and some of the stolen tools.

The residents of 400 May Avenue, 33-year-old Cody William Joe Rollins, and 44-year-old Joseph Allen Rollins both admitted they knew the items were stolen and took steps to conceal the stolen property.

Both men were arrested and charged with 1st Degree Theft.
