Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Treasurer’s Office is reminding property owners that second-half property tax payments are due by Monday, April 1st.
Payments can be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office until 4:30 PM, or paid online at iowatreasurers.org until 11:59 PM on April 1st.
Payments may also be deposited in the County Dropbox located outside of the County Courthouse on the south side between the building and the parking lot. Drop box payments must be made by 4:30 PM on April 1st to avoid interest.
Payments made by mail must be postmarked on or before April 1st.
Interest of 1.5% per month will be added to this payment beginning on Tuesday, April 2nd.
