Clark County, Mo.- The Missouri Highway Patrol says that one person was killed in a crash on Sunday in Clark County.
TV Station WGEM reports that the crash occurred just after 8 PM at the intersection of State Highways B and C between Wayland and St. Francisville.
According to a crash report, a van driven by 70-year-old John Briggs of Kahoka, Missouri was going westbound on Highway C. The van failed to yield at a stop sign and entered the path of a pickup truck, driven by a 17-year-old female, which struck the passenger side of the van.
Briggs was injured and taken to Fort Madison Community Hospital. A passenger in the vehicle, 56-year-old Riva Weir of Keokuk was seriously injured and air-lifted to Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Another passenger, 71-year-old Linda Smith of Kahoka was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clark County Coroner.
