American Cruise Lines has purchased all four of the American Queen Voyages paddle-wheelers.

According to Travel Weekly, AQV ceased operations in February, which was shortly followed by AQV and its parent company Hornblower Holdings filing Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

ACL then purchased the ships, which included the American Queen, American Empress, the American Countess, and the American Dutchess, out of bankruptcy.

The ships sail on the Mississippi River, as well as the Columbia and Snake Rivers.

With the purchase of these ships, ACL’s paddle-wheeler fleet has now increased to eight ships.
