
Burlington, IA- The Burlington Fire Department is investigating the cause of a house fire that occurred Thursday, April 4th.
According to a news release, at 4:51 PM Thursday the Burlington Fire Department responded to a report of smoke coming from a structure located at 1015 N. Central Avenue.
Firefighters arrived at 4:55 PM to find smoke coming from a two-story residential structure. 1015 North Central Avenue is owned by Heather Dawson and is operated as a rental unit.
The property was insured at the time of the incident and sustained major heat and smoke damage. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by both the Burlington Police and Fire departments. No further information was released.
Burlington Fire Department was assisted by the West Burlington Fire Department, Alliant Gas and Energy, and the Burlington Police Department.
