Burlington, IA- One of the largest fast food chains in the US has confirmed plans to open a restaurant in Burlington.
A representative for Chick-fil-A confirmed to the Hawk Eye that they will be opening their first restaurant in Burlington at the southeast corner of US-61 and East Agency Street early next year.
Burlington Development and Parks Director Eric Tysland said the company has submitted plans for a basic structure but has yet to submit a building permit.
The property, located between Walgreens and Pizza Ranch between Legacy Drive and Roosevelt Avenue, is currently owned by Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center according to County property records.
