Burlington, IA- The Burlington Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the public to attend the grand opening of the new Dankwardt Park Playground.
According to the parks department, the event is set to take place at Dankwardt Park on Thursday, May 9th at 4 PM, with a ribbon cutting and remarks from city officials at 4:30 PM.
“The Burlington Parks & Recreation Department is excited to open this large-scale, inclusive playground for the enjoyment of the community and visitors alike,” said Community Development and Parks Director Eric Tysland.
The playground offers 25,000 square feet of play features, accessible surfacing and play elements, site amenities, landscaping, and fun for all.
