Burlington Police Department: two people arrested for robbery

Burlington, IA-  The Burlington Police Department has announced the arrests of two individuals on robbery charges.

According to a news release, at about 12:52 PM Monday, May 13th, Burlington Police Officers responded to a report of an assault.

Upon arrival, officers met with a woman who stated she had been assaulted by a man and a woman driving a minivan.  During the assault, property was taken from the victim.  The victim was taken to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center and treated for her injuries.

Through an investigation, officers identified the suspects as 53-year-old Allan Brown and 30-year-old Ashley Ferguson.  The two were located at a residence in the 800 block of North 4th Street and search warrants were executed on the residence and vehicle.

The two were later arrested.  Ferguson was charged with 2nd Degree Robbery and Brown was charged with 2nd Degree Aiding and Abetting Robbery.
