Fort Madison, IA- The North Lee County Historical Society will host its 9th annual Memorial Day service at the war of 1812 battlefield site, between Avenue G and 4th and 5th street, at 9 AM on Monday.
The ceremony is held to honor the 22 soldiers who died while serving at the fort from 1808-1813.
Attendees are advised to bring their own chairs for the ceremony, as seating is limited.
