Van Buren County, IA- The Villages of Van Buren County will host the 24th annual Fly Van Buren at the Keosauqua Municipal Airport on Saturday, June 8th from 7 to 10 AM.
According to a news release, the Keosauqua Lions Club will host an all-you-can-eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast starting at 7 AM.
Enjoy a delicious meal for just $8.00 with children’s meals (ages 5-10) at $4.00. Pilots who fly in will receive a free breakfast Breakfast will be served rain or shine, but other activities are weather-dependent.
Other highlights of the event include:
- Indian Hills Aviation Department: Learn about exciting career opportunities in aviation.
- Air Evac Lifeteam Helicopter: Get up close to a real emergency helicopter. (dependent on availability the day of the event.)
- Door Prize Drawings: Win one of TWO airplane rides (scheduled for a later date).
- Kids’ Special: Every child under 12 will get a coupon for a FREE small ice cream cone from Misty’s Malt Shop in Keosauqua, located just off the Des Moines River bridge.
