
Burlington, IA- Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in Burlington on Thursday, June 6th.
According to a news release, the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force has been conducting an investigation over the past several months into a suspected drug network operating in Burlington.
This investigation culminated in the execution of a search warrant at 312 Spring Street.
At about 1:45 PM Thursday, officers from the task force, with the assistance of local law enforcement, carried out the search warrant.
Authorities seized methamphetamine and marijuana, and arrested one person.
57-year-old Tony J. Rettig was arrested and charged Fail to Appear warrant for Theft 5th, Three warrants for Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Offense – Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Offense – Marijuana and Possession of Controlled Substance – Pharmaceuticals.
This operation is part of a broader effort to dismantle drug trafficking operations in the region and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
