Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force executes search warrant in Burlington

Burlington, IA-  Authorities executed a search warrant in Burlington on Thursday, June 20th, which resulted in the arrest of one person.

According to a news release, the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force has been conducting an investigation over the past several months into a suspected drug network operating in Burlington.

This investigation culminated in the execution of a search warrant at 221 South 9th Street in Burlington.

At about 9:30 AM Thursday, June 20th, officers from the task force, along with local law enforcement, carried out the search warrant at the residence at 221 South 9th Street.

Officers seized Crack Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and Marijuana.

One person was also arrested.  56-year-old James Griffin was arrested and charged with two warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance, as well as Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance Crack Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, and Drug Tax Stamp Violation.
