
Fort Madison, IA- The Lee County Narcotics Task Force has announced the arrest of a Fort Madison man on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.
According to a news release, 40-year-old Benjamin Isaiah Mitchell of Fort Madison is charged with Possession with the intent to deliver more than 5 grams of methamphetamine, Iowa drug tax stamp violation, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges stem from a traffic stop conducted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Mitchell was taken into custody on other non-related criminal charges and found to be in possession of methamphetamine during the arrest.
The Lee County Narcotics Task Force were assisted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Fort Madison Police Department, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office.
