Galesburg, Ill.- The Galesburg Police Department says that one person was killed in a shooting incident that occurred Saturday, August 17th.
According to a news release, at about 8:30 PM Saturday, officers responded to 1435 Moshier Avenue in reference to a shooting incident.
Officers entered the residence and found Heath D. Williams Sr. with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers provided life-saving measures and Williams was taken to the St. Mary Medical Center Emergency Room.
Williams died at the hospital at about 11:30 PM.
The case remains under investigation by the Galesburg Police Department and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
