Burlington, IA- Severe thunderstorms tore through Burlington Tuesday evening, causing widespread power outages.
According to Alliant Energy, over 80 outages were reported in southeast Iowa as of early Wednesday Morning.
The Burlington Police Department reported multiple trees and lines were down, and roads were flooded due to the storm.
The police department advises residents to be patient with first responders, city, and power company employees as they are working to restore power.
