Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Treasurer’s Office is reminding residents that first-half property tax payments are due by Monday, September 30th.
According to a news release, payments may be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office until 4:30 PM, or online at iowatreasurers.org until 11:59 PM Monday, September 30th.
Payments may also be placed in the Des Moines County Dropbox outside the Des Moines County Courthouse. Dropbox payments must be made by 4:30 PM Monday.
Payments being made by mail must be postmarked on or before Monday, September 30th, to avoid interest.
Interest of 1.5% per month will be added to this payment beginning on October 1st.
