Burlington Public Library Request for Mural Proposals

Burlington, IA-  In partnership with the Burlington Community School District Art Department, the Art Center of Burlington, and the Teens Inspiring Change, Optimism and Service (TICOS), the Burlington Public Library od requesting proposals from student artists for the library’s new teen area mural.

According to a news release, this permanent mural will be an opportunity for up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent while helping to bring public art to the library.

“We are thrilled to bring a new era of public art into the library, and to give autonomy to our community’s teens by having them steer, design, and install this mural,” said library director, Brittany Jacobs.

Submissions will be accepted through December 20, 2024. The committee will choose a design in early 2025, with an installation date of Spring/Summer 2025.
