Burlington, IA- Des Moines County Public Health, the Des Moines County Board of Supervisors, and the Des Moines County Board of Health will celebrate the completion of the new Public Health Building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.
County officials and health department staff will be joined by members of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, builders and architects to ceremonially open the building with a ribbon-cutting at Noon on Wednesday, October 8th, with a public open house to follow until 2 PM.
The health department will officially begin providing services from the new building on October 14th.
Construction of the new building was funded through a $7.5 million American Rescue Plan Act grant, awarded to Des Moines County in the immediate aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
