Fort Madison, IA- The City of Fort Madison and the Fort Madison Police Department are inviting the community to a public swearing-in ceremony for the city’s new police chief.
The swearing-in ceremony and reception for new Fort Madison Police Chief, Cody Potthast, will be from 2 PM to 3 PM Friday, October 18th, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 811 Avenue E, Fort Madison.
Potthast has served as a Captain for the Fort Madison Police Department since January of 2022.
Prior to joining the Fort Madison Police Department, Potthast served in other law enforcement organizations, including the Nebraska State Patrol.
