
Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department says a man has been arrested following a shooting incident.
According to a news release, at about 2:02 PM Friday, October 18th, Officers responded to a report of a man that had been shot and was driving to the hospital in the area of Mason and Highway 61.
Officers found the vehicle and the man was taken to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center for treatment of a single, non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and was later released.
Officers learned the shooting occurred in the area of the 1900 block of Delmar Street.
The Burlington Criminal Investigation Division responded to the area and collected evidence from the shooting.
A suspect was identified as Levi Evans, who detectives learned was at 622 South Garfield Avenue. A search warrant was executed at the location, evidence was collected, and Evans was arrested and charged with Willful Injury and Firearm by a Felon.
