Burlington Memorial Auditorium will host public funerals this weekend for two prominent community members who left lasting legacies.

On Saturday, the community will gather to honor Des Moines County Sheriff Chief Deputy Chad McCune, who passed away on December 31 at the age of 53. A lifelong Burlington resident and Air Force veteran, McCune dedicated over 30 years to the Sheriff’s Office in various roles, including Chief Deputy. His funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the auditorium, with burial to follow at Aspen Grove Cemetery.

On Sunday, the auditorium will host the funeral of Anthony “D.J. Ant Bomb” Campbell, a 44-year-old local DJ, musician, barber, youth mentor, and promoter who was tragically killed on Christmas night. His funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., following a Saturday visitation at Prugh Funeral Service. Campbell will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana, Missouri.
