Giovani Denario Timmons, 24, of Burlington, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for his role in a meth distribution conspiracy between December 2019 and November 2021, as announced by U.S. Attorney Richard D. Westphal on Wednesday.
Timmons, along with co-defendant Kendric Centrall Childs, 25, was a primary supplier and helped transport meth to Iowa, including 362 pounds seized in a 2020 Arizona traffic stop, the largest meth bust in Arizona state history at the time.
After his prison term, Timmons will serve five years of supervised release. The case was investigated by multiple state and federal agencies, including the Burlington Police Department, FBI, DEA, and Iowa State Patrol.
