
A Fort Madison man has been arrested following a violent incident in which a victim sustained lacerations to the head and neck.
Police responded to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center’s Fort Madison campus around 12:48 p.m. Saturday, April 12, after receiving a report of a person injured in a slashing attack. The victim’s condition and identity have not been released.
Officers identified the suspect as Kristopher Murie and took him into custody at the hospital. Murie faces charges of violating a no-contact order, willful injury causing serious injury, and domestic abuse assault with a weapon. He remains in custody at the Lee County Jail.
The case is still under investigation.
