Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison has welcomed Dr. Andrew Root to its Family Medicine team. Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Root will provide care to patients of all ages, including routine checkups, preventive services, diagnosis, and treatment for both acute and chronic illnesses. He will also coordinate specialty care when needed.
Dr. Root completed his medical degree at Des Moines University and his family medicine residency at MercyOne in Des Moines. Originally from Southeast Minnesota, he and his wife, Haley, an elementary school teacher, are now settling into the community.
