Burlington police are investigating a reported home invasion that left an elderly woman injured late Friday night.
Officers were called to the 700 block of Arch Street around 3:25 a.m. Saturday, after receiving a report of a burglary. Investigators say an unidentified man forced his way into the woman’s home around 11 p.m. Friday, assaulted her, and fled before officers arrived.
The victim was treated for her injuries. Authorities have not released a suspect description, and no arrests have been made.
