The Lee County Leadership Program is accepting applications for its 2026 class, offering hands-on sessions from October through May to develop community-minded leadership skills.
Organized by the Fort Madison and Keokuk Chambers, ISU Extension, and Lee County Economic Development, the program focuses on strengthening local leadership through informed decision-making, effective collaboration, and the ability to identify and act on opportunities for growth within the community. Sessions include expert-led discussions and guided visits across the county.
No prior experience is required. Tuition is $800 for Chamber members and $950 for non-members, covering materials, meals, and lodging during Southeast Iowa Days.
Applications are due by September 12, and community project proposals are also being accepted through October 24.
