The Lee County Leadership Committee is calling on area nonprofits to submit proposals for community improvement projects. Two will be selected for implementation by the Leadership Class of 2026.
Projects must be specific, achievable, and able to be completed within 12 to 16 weeks. Applications are due by October 24 and can be requested through the Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce at 319-372-5471 or membership@fortmadison.com.
The Lee County Leadership Program, run in partnership with Lee County Economic Development and ISU Extension, trains participants in community-based leadership and civic engagement. The 2025-26 class includes 10 members and runs through May.
