
Voters narrowed the field of Burlington City Council candidates Tuesday, with the top six now advancing. Jon D. Billups led with 660 votes (19.5%), followed by Antonette Wilson with 456 (13.5%). Antonio Bailey and Robert Critser each earned 383 (11.3%), Jerry Johnson had 369, and Jeremy Kemp received 336 (9.9%). Just over 8 percent of registered voters turned out for the primary, with 1263 ballots cast out of 15181 registered. The general election to choose three winners will be held on Tuesday, November 4th.
