As uncertainty looms over next month’s WIC and SNAP benefits, the Southeast Iowa Resource Center is calling on the community for urgent help, especially with baby formula.
Amber Rae with the center says they’ve already provided nearly 20 cans of formula and helped 40 families with diapers in just the past six weeks, and with supply running low, the need is growing. Formula is the top priority, followed by nonperishable food, and size 4 or larger diapers and pull-ups.
Donations can be made through their Venmo @Ivy-Tranter or their PayPal Giving Fund page, both linked on their Facebook page: Southeast Iowa Resource Center. Residents can also call or text 319-850-4105 to coordinate drop-offs or ask questions.
