
Burlington, IA- Des Moines County Conservation is inviting residents to join them for a rewarding afternoon at Starr’s Cave Park and Preserve on Thursday, November 13th for a trail cleanup and brush pile burn.
According to an online post, this family-friendly event is open to participants of all ages, offering a fun and active way to contribute to the preservation of the park.
Main tasks for the day include cleaning up the trail and tackling invasive species, with a focus on removing the Bush Honeysuckle.
Weather permitting, county conservation will also try burning a huge pile of invasive species that have been previously gathered.
Participants are advised to bring gloves to assist with the removal of the bush, as well as water, weather appropriate clothing, and sunglasses for eye protection.
