The Des Moines County Regional Waste Commission has announced a Christmas Light set recycling program.
The program will last until January 15th of 2026.
Residents can drop off non-working sets of Christmas lights during normal business hours, from 8 Am until 4 PM, at the Area Recycler’s Office, 1818 W. Burlington Avenue in Burlington.
Residents may also drop off lights at the Haz-Chem Center/e-waste program inside the DMC Regional Landfill from 8 AM until 3:45 PM Monday through Friday, and 8Am until 11:45 AM on Saturdays.
