Burlington, IA- The Iowa State Patrol says one person was killed and another was injured in a crash on Highway 34 on Monday.
At about 2:08 AM on Monday, a pickup truck was going eastbound on Highway 34 in the westbound lanes when it struck another vehicle near mile marker 255. The driver of the pickup truck was ejected from the vehicle and transported to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
One other person was also injured and transported to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center.
The ISP says the driver of the pickup truck was not wearing a seatbelt.
