The Big 12 is fining Iowa State 500-thousand dollars after the university’s football team declined a bowl invitation.  Officials with ISU Athletics say players have decided not to participate in the postseason because many of them are recovering from injuries.  The team is also going through a coaching change, with head coach Matt Campbell accepting a job a Penn State and coach Jimmy Rogers coming into Ames from Washington State.  ISU Athletics Director Jamie Pollard says administrators and coaches support the team’s decision.
