Burlington man in jail after altercation with knife

A Burlington man is in jail after police say he cut two people with a knife during altercations that took place on Sunday. 58 year old Kelvin Willform was arrested by the Burlington Police Department and charged with willful injury resulting in bodily injury, assault with a dangerous weapon, and first-degree forcible felony. At around 8:08 p.m., According to the Hawk Eye Burlington Police responded to a home on the 400 block of Maple Street. When officers arrived, they found a man sitting on a chair with an open wound and his left eye swollen shut to where he could barely open it. Willform is being held at the Des Moines County Jail on $10,000 bond.
